Meltz Studio x Exalted Alchemy Custom Candle 

Scent Profile: Orange blossom, neroli, lemon

This vessel was wheelthrown in red stoneware with poured coastal tillandsia glaze. Each piece is handcrafted, please anticipate special variations as each piece is one of a kind. 

Our candle collaboration marries earth with air, friendship and intention, craft and creation. Alex’s draw to the supple freshness of bitter orange blossoms filling the room merge with Jess’s pull to the grounding earth tones of the vessel, mimicking our forest floor. Two friends build inspiration from the other to bring you something magical, ethereal and of the earth.

We invite you to burn this candle with love and intention. Once you have finished your candle, you can reuse your vessel for years to come. We think it makes a great mug, planter for a succulent, or a special place to keep your collected rocks + shells.  

About Meltz Studio 

Founded in 2018, Meltz is the studio practice of artist Alex Meltzer. She creates functional and sculptural work inspired by nature, travel, design and tradition. Each piece is handmade and unique, intended to serve as both a memento and an object to be enjoyed every day. 

Meltz + Exalted Alchemy both find inspiration in bringing elements of the earth into our daily rituals, and we hope this candle and forever vessel do the same for you. 

Exalted Alchemy candles feature an apricot-coconut wax with an all-natural and non-toxic scent blend that contains a mix of essential oils and all natural fragrance oil. The fragrance oil we work with is blended from essential oils and is free from all carcinogens, toxins, mutagens, parabens, phthalates, and PFAFs. We choose to use this blend as it is the most sustainable option. Essential oils have a strong environmental impact, are quite unsustainable, and should be used sparingly and conscientiously. We use apricot-coconut wax, which we find to be the softest and most sustainable wax for our candles. This wax is even cleaner than traditional soy based waxes. 

Our candles, and all of the ingredients used, are vegan, cruelty-free and biodegradable. We encourage our customers to reuse candle jars by simply peeling off the label and removing the wax from inside the jar. To most effectively remove residual candle wax we recommend freezing it or using boiling water.

When burning your candle, always keep it within sight and never leave it unattended. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains, books, and furniture. Before each use, trim the wick to ensure a clean, even burn and to prevent excessive smoke. We recommend having a window ajar when burning candles indoors. Allow the wax to melt fully to the edges of the container during the first burn to prevent tunneling and maximize the candle’s lifespan. For best results, do not burn the candle for more than four hours at a time to avoid overheating the container. Always keep the candle out of reach of children and pets, and extinguish it with care using a candle snuffer to avoid splattering wax and excess smoke. 

Your Exalted Alchemy candle is an all natural offering to help infuse your space with only the best vibes. You’re going to get the good energy no matter what, but you can also use your candle as a tool for manifestation, divination and intention setting.

We encourage you to follow your intuition, get in touch with your own personal magic, and always practice good will. If you’re new to manifestation here are a few tips, tricks and suggestions for how to use your candle. Your candle can be a beautiful addition to new moon and full moon ceremonies, or on other days of significance, like the solstice, equinox, a birthday or birth. Another powerful ritual is intention setting. Write down your goals, affirmations, or desires on a small piece of paper, fold it toward you, and place underneath the candle while it burns. You can also incorporate affirmations into your practice by repeating a positive affirmation related to your intention. Your Exalted Alchemy candle can amplify your intentions and create a space for transformation. Another way to engage your manifestation practice is through fire gazing meditation. Light your candle, take a few deep breaths, and allow your gaze to rest unto the flame. You may visualize your desires or just connect more deeply with the element of fire. The flame also serves as a reminder of the fire within.
